Supporting The Brightwell Charity Bristol
The Brightwell is a long-established charity based in Bradley Stoke, Bristol, supporting people living with a wide range of neurological and chronic conditions. Their mission is to enhance quality of life through specialist therapies, personalised support and a welcoming community space that helps individuals manage symptoms and maintain independence.
At the centre of their work is a combination of neuro-physiotherapy, wellbeing services and advanced therapies such as Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). Their dedicated HBOT chamber is used by people with conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, long Covid and other neurological disorders. Alongside this, The Brightwell provides Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), counselling, acupuncture, reflexology, foot health clinics, bladder and bowel support and a range of complementary therapies designed to support both physical and emotional wellbeing.
What makes The Brightwell unique is its focus on creating a non-clinical, community-led environment. Members can access tailored therapy programmes while also taking part in social activities, events and peer support that help reduce isolation and build confidence. The charity serves individuals across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Bath, Wiltshire and South Wales, offering a vital resource for people who need long-term support.
The Brightwell receives less than 1% of its income from statutory funding, meaning the majority of its work is made possible through donations, community fundraising and volunteer involvement. By contributing to the charity, businesses and individuals help ensure that people living with long-term neurological conditions can access essential therapies and support that may not otherwise be available.
Springfield is pleased to support organisations like The Brightwell, whose work directly improves the lives of people in our local community and across the wider region.
