Ashcombe Primary School approached us with a bold and imaginative brief: to design and build a showstopping centrepiece for their library.

Our Challenge

The challenge at Ashcombe Primary School was turning a bold, imaginative vision into a safe, practical, and durable feature that would withstand daily use in a busy library environment. The design needed to be visually impactful while maintaining full compliance with safety standards and fitting seamlessly within the existing space — balancing creativity with functionality to create a centrepiece that was both inspiring and built to last.

The Outcome

The result was a bespoke, large-scale treehouse that instantly transformed the space into a woodland-themed retreat for young readers. Designed to be both calming and engaging, the treehouse offers students a place to unwind, read, and refocus — enhancing both their enjoyment and productivity.

The feedback from staff and pupils alike has been overwhelmingly positive, with one team member declaring, “Behold… our fabulous, purpose-built new library in its awesome and full glory!” We’re proud to have delivered a project that brings such joy and inspiration to the school community.
